Ms. Karres focuses her practice on the representation of healthcare providers in medical malpractice actions. Ms. Karres is licensed to practice in the State of Indiana and before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Ms. Karres is an active member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana.

Ms. Karres keeps up to date on the case law developments in Indiana. She is in charge of reviewing and summarizing all new medical malpractice cases for the Healthcare Section of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana. She also assists in preparation of the Schultz & Pogue, LLP newsletter. Ms. Karres recently published an article entitled “Jury Instructions in Medical Malpractice Cases That May Limit Damage Awards” in the Indiana Civil Litigation Review. In 2009, Ms. Karres co-authored two amicus briefs for the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana.

During law school, Ms. Karres was a mentor for the Marion County Teen Court Program, and now serves as a judge in the program. Ms. Karres was also an officer in Phi Delta Phi and was a member of the Moot Court Society. Ms. Karres is an active member of The Church of the Nativity, where she serves as a communion minister.
